In this exclusive exhibition for our Festival of Film, Jordan Bolton will be exhibiting his meticulous and eye-catching designs for films including Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Royal Tenenbaums and Moonrise Kingdom, as well as other well known classics including Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Amadeus, Pulp Fiction, The Godfather and more.

Jordan Bolton is a photo-poster artist from Manchester, England. Made by recreating objects, costumes or rooms, his film posters serve as a kind of alternative viewing experience of a film by representing it only through its colours and themes, rather than its plot or actors.

The exhibition will also debut a specially commissioned poster of the Royal Albert Hall by Jordan Bolton which will be available to purchase.

The exhibition will be on display in the Royal Albert Hall’s Amphi Corridor, and can be viewed when attending a performance here between Saturday 20 October and Saturday 3 November or on the following free open days:

Saturday 20 October, 10am-12:30pm
Sunday 21 October, 10am-12:30pm
Saturday 27 October, 10am-4pm
Sunday 28 October, 10am-4pm

“Meticulous in approach, a conceptual interpretation defines the art of Jordan Bolton’s film posters, better defined as miniature masterpieces, representing each film only through object, colour and theme, in turn offering a unique and alternative viewing experience.”
