In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and following advice from government, we have taken the decision with a heavy heart to close the Royal Albert Hall to the public until at least 30 April. Beyond that date, we will continue to follow government advice. Click here for more information.

If you have a tour booked between now and 30 April, we will be in contact in due course. We thank you so much for your patience and continued support of the Hall during these uncertain times.

Please note that these tours have very limited availability, only taking place around 20 times a year. If this tour isn’t available on your preferred day then we recommend joining our Royal Albert Hall Tour instead.

On rare occasions you can go behind the curtain of this much-loved Grade I listed building and see parts of the Hall usually off limits to the public, taking you under the stage, into one of our dressing rooms where all the stars have prepared to perform, and also into the loading bay deep underground.

These special tours are an opportunity to acquire a rare insight into how the show, hospitality and technical teams come together to stage over 390 different events in the main auditorium per year.

"Really enjoyed a tour of the Hall, which included a rare opportunity to see the 'lesser known' parts ...Guide was brilliant and the whole experience was much enhanced by his knowledge, enthusiasm and personality."

"Fascinating tour of this beautiful building. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, funny and it was so interesting. Finished off with afternoon tea in the Verdi Restaurant. Would thoroughly recommend."

"The building itself is a marvel. Our guide Ilene, gave a tour worthy of the best college lecturer. She was full of interesting information presented clearly. She was extremely knowledgeable and approachable with questions. The hour flew by. Highly recommended if you are interested in the arts and/or architecture!"
