This Royal Albert Home session can be watched on demand now:

Baxter Dury will deliver an exclusive session from his London home as part of the Royal Albert Home series.

In these strange times, closing the Hall’s doors is the best way to look after the world, but we are now opening a (virtual) window for you to experience some of the most talented artists around.

Last month saw Dury release The Night Chancers, the follow-up to 2017’s widely acclaimed album Prince Of Tears.

While Prince Of Tears was a cinematic confessional trying to stay afloat on the seas of relationship failure, The Night Chancers finds the songwriter adopting a more directorial approach to his tracks, sketching out people and situations as he initially dives deep into the darkness before reaching an emotional dawn.

Failed fashionistas, Instagram voyeurs, jilted Romeos reeking insecurity, the willingly self-deluded, the comically unaware – these creatures and constructs are the inspirations for this ten-song gaze into the black hours and the characters and behaviours that swirl around within them.

As artists generously share their work with you, we ask that you generously support us so that the Royal Albert Hall can come back strong when we reopen our doors to the world.

If you can donate a fraction of the price of a ticket to see one of these artists live, you will be supporting the Hall for a brighter future.
