    BAFTA and the Royal Albert Hall present a conversation with multi BAFTA-winning screen composer Austin Wintory. This is the latest in a series featuring world-class composers across film, games and television discussing their work on some of the industry’s most celebrated scores.

    Austin Wintory’s diverse career spanning 137 credits has straddled the worlds of games, films and concert music.

    Wintory’s credits include BAFTA nominated Flow (which made him the youngest composer ever to receive a nomination) and Journey which won two BAFTAs and became the first ever Grammy-nominated videogame score.

    Since Journey’s release, Wintory’s subsequent BAFTA nominated scores include The Banner Saga, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and ABZU. In 2016, in partnership with the Chicago-based Fifth House Ensemble, Austin began touring Journey LIVE, an on-stage recreation of the entirety of Journey’s in-game score, accompanying a complete play through of the game.

    Alongside his career in games, Austin’s film scoring career includes Sundance winner Captain Abu Raed, Grace, The River Why, Standoff and Bullet Head. His most recent film is The Last Movie Star, directed by Adam Rifkin and starring Burt Reynolds and Ariel Winter.

    This is the latest in a series featuring world-class composers across film, games and television discussing their work on some of the industry’s most celebrated scores.

    This event will include a live art and music element with acclaimed Costa Rican painter Angela Bermudez and an exclusive first listen to The Banner 3 Saga score which which will be released in July.
