Calling all sea explorers!
This half term, your little ones are invited to sail away with a full symphony orchestra, as they help the conductor to navigate the stormy seas and survive a shipwreck!
They’ll journey to a mysterious island, build shelters, ‘swim in the sea’ and meet amazing characters along the way, all without leaving the Royal Albert Hall’s magical auditorium. We’ll be singing, dancing and best of all, voting which way we should travel next…
With a specially-selected repertoire of orchestral movements, children’s songs and movie themes, this interactive afternoon is the perfect way to introduce your children to the wonderful world of orchestral music.
Music will include:
Wagner Flying Dutchman Overture
John Williams Jurassic Park
Britten Storm from Four Sea Interludes
Stravinksy Infernal Dance from Firebird Suite
Klaus Badelt Pirates of the Caribbean
Stephens We’re Going on a Bear Hunt
Tom Redmond Chief Adventurer
Timothy Redmond Conductor and Master of Ceremonies
… plus the Hall’s very own Orchestra of Adventurers
and the London Youth Choir
