Our intimate Late Night Jazz series presents sensational music in the sultry setting of the Royal Albert Hall’s Elgar Room.
Influential jazz rockers Soft Machine join the Hall’s Late Night Jazz line-up in the Elgar Room as part of the venue’s Summer of Love: Revisited series.
The central band in the Canterbury scene of the late-‘60s and early ’70s, Soft Machine pioneered the prog and jazz-rock genres, giving lovers of intelligent alternative music something to swoon over.
This line-up of Soft Machine features three of the group’s 1970s era members – guitarist John Etheridge, drummer John Marshall, and bass player Roy Babbington, joined by sax, flute and keyboard player Theo Travis.
