Introducing little ears to the world of Indian classical music, these concerts are aimed at children of all ages and their families to enjoy. All are welcome to sing along to the music!
The Blue Lions present a concert of Indian Classical music, including traditional works and very rare compositions, some of which are hundreds of years old and based upon traditional ragas and mantras.
Learn about how ragas express different moods and emotions, and how animal movements inspire the rhythms played on the tabla (an Indian percussive instrument). In addition, The Blue Lions will demonstrate performances of rare stringed instruments including the taus, which was invented by the Sikh Guru.
The Blue Lions have opened for Bob Dylan, Anna Phoebe and Basement Jaxx, and have played Boom Festival, Be-in Festival, European Yoga Festival and many others.
All are welcome to sing along to the music!
