Why Support Us

Did you know that the Royal Albert Hall is a charity? We work incredibly hard to provide unforgettable experiences for as many people as possible and to ensure that this much loved Grade I listed building can be enjoyed by future generations.

Opened in 1871, the Royal Albert Hall has always been committed to the promotion of arts and science. The world’s leading figures in music, dance, sport and politics have appeared on our stage and we have played a key role in British cultural life.

Today, close to 1.7m people enjoy live experiences here every year and millions more experience the Hall through broadcasts, recordings and digital channels. We host almost 400 events in our breath-taking auditorium and hundreds of other events throughout the building, attracting young artists and providing low ticket prices for new audiences. And we achieve all of this without any annual government funding.

Our thriving Education & Outreach programme changes lives through music. Last year we reached over 195,000 people throughout London and the UK. Whether it is providing a child with their first opportunity to pick up an instrument, or improving the quality of life for patients in a care home, we create life-long memories and provide inspiration through music for all, regardless of age or background.

But we need your help to do more.

We are entrusted with maintaining this beautiful building for the nation, bringing our unique heritage to life and ensuring that it is accessible to as many people as possible. With your support, we can breathe new life into this Victorian masterpiece so that the greatest moments in arts and entertainment can be enjoyed by more people than ever before.

Thank you.
