As the year draws to a close, we wanted to reflect on the challenges it brought, and to celebrate the new ways we found to connect with each other and bring a little Hall magic to you, wherever you are in the world.

Whether you visited the Royal Albert Hall, watched a concert from your home, worked on a show, or supported us from afar during this extraordinary year: thank you, and we wish you a very merry Christmas.

Look back at 2020 with us

On 17 March, we closed our doors for the first time since the Second World War.

In April, we launched Royal Albert Home, a series of intimate artist performances streamed from their homes to yours.

We were proud to #LightItBlue in support of our amazing NHS for everything they’ve done in this incredibly challenging year.

Katherine Jenkins, Architects, Niall Horan and more performed behind closed doors.

We levitated with Dua Lipa at the AMAs.

The 125th year of BBC Proms at the Hall looked a little different…

… as did the Festival of Remembrance:

We kept ourselves busy during lockdown(s)…

And while our socially-distanced Christmas season was sadly curtailed after only three shows, we were so happy to see some of you in person for the first time in nine months.

Thank you for your support during this incredibly difficult year.
We hope you have a wonderful Christmas.
And we’ll see you in 2021 to celebrate our 150th birthday!
