Watch: Collocutor's Tamar Osborn continues our Beyond the Main Stage series
For our Beyond The Main Stage video series, we’re inviting artists to celebrate our unique building by presenting their work in some of our more intimate spaces.
Next up is saxophonist and brainchild of Collocutor, Tamar Osborn, performing a unique solo performance in the Prince of Wales Room
Speaking of our Late Night Jazz and Beyond the Main Stage series:
“It’s really important to me that somewhere like the Royal Albert Hall embraces the contemporary [jazz] movement, because opening up a space like the Elgar Room brings in an audience who wouldn’t necessarily think about coming to see something in the main auditorium space – and I think once they’re in the building, once they see what an amazing building it is, there’s a curiosity about what else goes on here.” Tamar Osborn
Tamar performs with her jazz collective Collocutor as part of out Late Night Jazz series in December 2019, performing compositions with ranging inspiration from Afrobeat, indian classical and Ethiopian roots to polyphonic choral music and minimalism.
