This October, legendary composers David Arnold and Michael Giacchino will face off in a battle of award-winning film and TV music.

With these two soundtrack heavyweights on stage, you can expect an evening of iconic scores interspersed by tongue-in-cheek banter and one-upmanship:

This symphonic showdown will see the two screen music legends comparing their impressive back catalogues of music as their scores collide live on stage. We put together a playlist for you to get a taste of the show, so if you’re not afraid of (some) spoilers, scroll down now!

Many more fan favourites will be performed on the night, but we don’t want to give it all away just yet. What we can tell you is that Michael Giacchino will stake his claim to the stage with music from award-winning scores for Star Trek, Ratatouille, Lost and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Rising to the challenge, David Arnold, best known for his epic Bond soundtracks as well as Independence Day, Godzilla, Stargate and the acclaimed TV series Good Omens, will prove himself a worthy rival. This one-of-a-kind concert will also include the live European Premiere of the Spider-Man: Far From Home soundtrack and the live World Premiere of the Good Omens theme.

Performed by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and conducted by Gavin Greenaway, don’t miss this epic event of music, storytelling, challenges of wit and friendly competition!
