This winter take a trip to the Royal Albert Hall, an award-winning Christmas destination!

We have over 150 festive events over the season – from charity events to a cheeky cabaret Christmas special, via a traditional selection of carols, hymns and sing-along opportunities. There’s something to suit everyone!

Here’s a selection of what we’ve got coming up this winter:

MEET FATHER CHRISTMAS

Tuesday 5 – Sunday 24 December

The Royal Albert Hall has been transformed into a festive wonderland, where you’ll discover snowy scenes and enchanting characters behind mysterious doorways…

eet Father Christmas

Come on an immersive, interactive journey through the Royal Albert Hall’s historic corridors, guided by magical characters, including the Snow Queen. Take part in interactive games, sing songs and work together to help Father Christmas mend his broken sleigh and set off in time for the big day!

The event is recommended for children ages 2+. All children will meet Father Christmas one-to-one and receive a present. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

GUY BARKER’S BIG BAND CHRISTMAS

Sunday 10 December

Guy Barker's Big Band Christmas

Big band favourite Guy Barker returns to the Hall with another swinging, soulful celebration with a Christmas twist! BBC Radio 2’s Clare Teal will be co-presenting the evening, and performing big band classics from Count Basie to Benny Goodman, alongside very special guests including Joe Stilgoe, Giacomo Smith and Georgie Fame.!

KING’S COLLEGE CHOIR

Friday 15 December

The world-renowned Choir of King’s College, Cambridge are back with a wonderful selection of sublime carols. Hark the angelic voices of these chapel choristers, and enjoy the pomp and splendour of a grand Christmas gala at the Hall.

CHRISTMAS CAROL SINGALONG

Sunday 16 – Saturday 23 December

Clap your hands… stamp your feet… and sing your heart out, as irrepressible showman Jonathan Cohen leads you through another fun-filled jamboree of his most-loved carols and all-time Christmas hits, with Louise Dearman.

CAROLS BY CANDLELIGHT

Saturday 16 – Sunday 24 December

Celebrate the festive season in elegant style by candlelight, with this exquisite concert of carols and seasonal classics performed by the Mozart Festival Orchestra and Chorus in full 18th Century costume! Readings from Dickens and the Scriptures will be performed by special guest Bernard Cribbins.

Monday 18 December

Celebrate in style with singing sensation Katherine Jenkins, as she performs a magnificent concert of seasonal music and songs. This special Christmas concert with the London Concert Orchestra promises to be a memorable night.

THE NUTCRACKER

Thursday 28 – Sunday 31 December

The Nutcracker

For the first time ever, Birmingham Royal Ballet brings this Christmas favourite to the Royal Albert Hall, with Simon Callow as the voice of Clara’s mysterious godfather, Drosselmeyer. This magical ballet, with its ravishing Tchaikovsky score, is the quintessential Christmas treat for all the family.

SANTA’S LITTLE HELPER

Wednesday 27 – Thursday 28 December

Little Blue Monster Productions present a tale of festive adventure set during Christmas Eve, and brought to life with an irresistible blend of music, puppetry and beautiful storytelling.

It’s nearly Christmas, and as the snow falls softly outside, young Albert Tuttle hops into bed. But he’s far too excited to sleep, as Santa will be here in just a few hours! As the clock strikes midnight, Albert is in for a very big surprise, for stuck up the chimney is a jolly old fellow with a fluffy white beard and big, round belly. It’s Santa! And he needs Albert’s help!

The event is recommended for children ages 3+. All attending require a ticket (except under 2s, who go free)
