Derek Nash has played with everyone from Sir Paul McCartney to Amy Winehouse. He’s been a key member of Jools Holland Rhythm and Blues Orchestra since 2004, leads both Sax Appeal and funk band Protect the Beat, and is a member of London’s Ronnie Scott’s Blues Explosion. Derek’s impressive music CV is unsurprising when you experience his truly energetic, vibrant and charismatic performances, playing across all four saxophones.

In the build up to Derek’s Late Night Jazz show in the Elgar Room on March 16, he’s put together a guest playlist on Spotify featuring some of his old favourites and inspirations. Among classics from the likes of Dexter Gordon and Cannonball Adderly, there are also a couple of Derek’s own tracks you can expect to hear on the night.
