Has your child ever dreamt of being a dancer; performing for thousands of people on the world’s most famous stage? This Christmas, in partnership with Birmingham Royal Ballet, we’re making that dream into a reality for 8 talented boys and 8 talented girls!
This year a brand-new, enchanting production of Christmas favorite The Nutcracker is being performed at the Royal Albert Hall by the Birmingham Royal Ballet, from 28 to 31 December 2017. Featuring world-class dancing and music plus state-of-the-art technology and ground-breaking projections, this truly is a unique opportunity for children who love to perform to take to one of the world’s most famous stages as part of our much-loved and magical winter wonderland.
Birmingham Royal Ballet will be holding open auditions on Sundays 1 October and 8 October in London.
The open auditions for The Nutcracker will include a dance and acting workshop delivered by a senior member of Birmingham Royal Ballet, as well as the chance to learn some of the steps performed in the ballet.

In order to take part in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, children must be in school years 5, 6 or 7 (from September 2017). The maximum height for participants is 142cm and ideally, we’re looking for boys and girls who enjoy dancing, have good musicality and love to perform. Previous ballet experience is an advantage, but not necessary.
