On Friday 27 – Saturday 28 November multi-talented pianist, bandleader, singer, composer, television presenter and boogie-woogie master Jools Holland returned to the Royal Albert Hall to kick off the festive season.

Jools and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra have been bringing their ever-popular jazz and blues bash to the Hall since 1997, and it has become an annual staple of the festive calendar.

This year’s two concerts proved no exception to the lively show audiences have come to expect from Jools’ Royal Albert Hall concerts, and the crowd were on their feet before long, dancing to the band’s set of jazz, ska, blues and swing.

Scottish singer KT Tunstall joined the band as a special guest, singing the crowd-pleasing Suddenly I See, as well as a cover of the Jackson 5’s Want You Back.
