Archive Discovery Sessions

Archive Discovery Sessions

Introducing the new Archive Discovery Sessions

Through these sessions we aim to show why the Hall was built, its various uses and the history of the BBC Proms since its arrival at the Hall in 1941.

The items on show will include original programmes, paintings, posters, box keys and tokens, Proms memorabilia, music scores and mystery items for participants to guess.

There will also be the rare chance to hear stories of the Hall's ghostly and feline inhabitants!

The Archive Discovery Sessions are suitable for all ages and will consist of a talk, followed by the rare opportunity to handle some of the items mentioned and ask questions to our experts.

These sessions cost £5 per person* and will last 1 hour. They will be situated in the Door 3 porch area on the Ground Floor of the Royal Albert Hall. Guests will have the opportunity to attend an additional 30 minute Royal Albert Hall Front of House tour for an extra £5.

There are no archive discovery sessions scheduled at the moment. Please check back at a later date.

*booking fees apply except to personal callers to the Box Office
