The National Youth Choirs of Great Britain and the Royal Albert Hall present the International Youth Choir Festival 2017, a vibrant celebration of music’s power to change the lives of individuals and communities, featuring eight outstanding choirs from four continents.
The Festival comprises a daytime conference and workshops aimed at choral leaders, music teachers and aspiring singers from across the country, and A Celebration of World Voices, an evening concert open to all, featuring young singers from as far afield as South Africa, Israel and Indonesia.
The IYCF 2017 is co-promoted by the Royal Albert Hall and NYCGB with Principal Media Partner choral.ly and Education Partner ABRSM.
On Monday 17 April 2017, all eight IYCF choirs will reunite with Southbank Sinfonia and conductor Ben Gernon for a joint performance of Jonathan Dove’s There Was A Child at the Royal Festival Hall. Tickets are available now from the Southbank Centre.
