Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland Concert | Royal Albert Hall

The Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland presents London Peace Proms 2012

Established as a peace initiative in 1995, the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland (CBOI) is the most highly acclaimed and celebrated youth orchestra that Ireland has ever produced.

Following sell out concert tours to China, the US and throughout Europe, this historic performance marks the orchestra's London debut.

The concert will be directed by Ireland’s top national conductor Maestro Gearóid Grant, and will feature some of Ireland’s leading soloists as well as Drum and Piping Corps. A peace choir of 1,000 voices made up of children from Primary Schools throughout London will join the CBOI on this very special occasion.

“Peace Proms” is a musical and cultural celebration on a spectacular scale with the central message of universal peace powerfully conveyed through the richness and majesty of music and song. Audiences all over the world have responded to this award winning orchestra with spontaneous standing ovations and resounding applause.
