RECENT EVENTS - Gary Barlow: In Concert

Tuesday 27 November 2012 - 7:30 PM

Gary Barlow | Royal Albert Hall

Approximate end time: 10.20pm

Statement from the Royal Albert Hall, 28 November 2012

The Hall experienced a significant disruption to its incoming mains water supply shortly before the start of the Gary Barlow concert last night.

Efforts were made to minimise disruption to the audience attending the event and to ensure Thames Water rectified the problem as quickly as possible.  The Gary Barlow concert continued as planned and the audience were treated to an amazing night of entertainment with a guest appearance from Robbie Williams.

We would like to thank the audience for their patience and understanding in circumstances which were beyond our control.

Following his two critically acclaimed solo shows at the Hall last year; Gary Barlow will return as part of his full UK and Ireland tour.

Barlow will be performing songs spanning the entirety of his incredible music career. He says:
'I’m really excited about these dates. Playing live is my favourite thing and I haven't played a solo show for over a year now. Last year playing two London shows was brilliant, we all had such a good time, so I thought right let's get out and see the rest of the country!'

After 20 years in the business, over 50 million records sold, eight Number 1 albums, fourteen Number 1 singles, seven million concert tickets sold and six Ivor Novello Awards, Gary Barlow is regarded as one of Britain’s most successful singer songwriters and is best known as being part of one of the biggest British bands of all time, Take That.

Gary was recently named in the Queen's birthday honours list and was awarded an OBE for his huge contribution to British music as well as his significant charitable endeavours. He currently sits as head judge on the UK's No 1 show The X Factor for the second year running.

Support for this concert will come from American singer-songwriter Nell Bryden.
