As part of the Royal Albert Hall’s inaugural Festival of Film, Gaga Theatre Company presents an adaptation of Mrs Armitage & The Big Wave, Quentin Blake’s funny and touching book about friendship, helping others, and how to stay positive and keep going.

Mrs Armitage and her faithful dog Breakspear want to paddle out to sea to wait for the Big Wave, but Mrs Armitage isn’t satisfied with her ordinary surfboard. On her trips across the ocean to fetch gadgets, contraptions and enhancements for her board, Mrs Armitage comes across a little girl who needs her help…

In this production, live theatre is integrated with magical projections on the big screen based on illustrations from the book. It is a multi-sensory show with original music, creative lighting and innovative props to keep all members of the family absorbed.

Subsidised tickets are available for £1 for eligible families. Please see separate tab for more information.
