Nicola Benedetti, one of the world’s most sought-after classical violinists, returns to the Royal Albert Hall following the success of her sold out Albert Sessions concert in September 2013, with a dynamic programme of music inspired by the spirit of Italy.
Performing with a first class ensemble of musicians, the concert includes two seminal and cherished works from the classical repertoire, Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence. It will also feature the London premiere of a work written specially for Nicola Benedetti and Leonard Elschenbroich by one of the UK’s foremost composers, Mark-Anthony Turnage.
Described by The Times as a “risk-taking performer,” Nicola has established herself as one of classical music’s most prominent violinists, collaborating with major orchestras all over the world. A multiple award winner, Nicola’s latest album Homecoming entered the top 20 pop charts, an unprecedented achievement for a classical violinist.
