The Secret History Tour

Uncover the alternative history of the Royal Albert Hall on the Secret History tour. The Royal Albert Hall Grand Tour

Experience the excitement inside one of the most famous entertainment venues in the world as it prepares for the evening's performance. Our engaging guides will take you on a journey through this iconic building, bringing to life its fascinating history and sharing some of its secrets. This is a one-hour tour covering all Front of House areas including the stunning auditorium, the Gallery and the Queen's private suite, the Royal Retiring Room.

Why not enjoy the definitive English experience by taking a Grand Tour of Royal Albert Hall followed by full Afternoon Tea or Champagne Afternoon Tea, served in the elegant surroundings of the Hall's Verdi restaurant? Afternoon Tea is available Wednesday to Sunday through most of the year. Select the Afternoon Tea option when booking. Alternatively choose our exclusive 1 or 2 course lunch option (available 12 – 5pm) also served in Verdi. You can also enjoy our coffee morning tour (available 9am – 12 noon) with a nice cup of tea or aromatic coffee, together with a delectable pastry, in the Café Bar at Door 12.

Tours are not recommended for children under 7 but they are welcome to attend. Toddlers and babes in arms are admitted at the tour guide's discretion. Up to 2 under 5s go free for each adult ticket purchased (please book in person or call the Box Office on 0845 401 5045).

Story of the Proms Tour (Friday 17 July - Saturday 12 September)

through the history of the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall. Learn about the historic background to this celebrated annual festival.

The Hall's six dining spaces, fourteen bars and box catering offer a huge choice of culinary delights ranging from three-course meals with fine wines to light bar snacks and cocktails.
