Multi-award-winning trumpet player Alison Balsom will perform at the Royal Albert Hall with her first solo show.

Alison Balsom's first performance at the Hall came back in 1994 when she played in the trumpet section of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain at the 100th season of the Proms. She has since gone on to win three Classical BRIT Awards, including Female Artist of the Year in 2009 & 2011; was the recipient of this year's Nordoff Robbins Classical Award and has delivered a number of acclaimed performances at the Hall, including as a guest soloist at the Last Night of the Proms in 2009.

This time, the trumpeter presents herself on her own terms, performing music very close to her heart with some of her favourite artists.
