This incredibly versatile event space hosts over 330 events every year and is celebrated for its legendary performance.
Join our guides for a fascinating journey through the extraordinary history of a stunning and iconic building, opened in 1871 as the brain-child of Queen Victoria's husband Prince Albert. Witness some of the unseen workings and peek into the auditorium, as the Hall prepares to open its doors for the next show. Highlights of the tour include the breathtaking auditorium, exclusive access to the Royal Retiring Room, a look inside the Queen's Box and an action-packed presentation featuring a selection of the huge range of events that take place at the Hall.
Tours generally run every day, except Wednesday, from 10.30am to 3.30pm. Times may vary due to rehearsals and performances. Tours, which depart from inside the South Porch at Door 12, last approximately 1 hour and are subject to availability. All tours are currently conducted in English.
As the Hall is a working venue, each tour is unique and may include the opportunity to see rehearsals or technical preparations for an event. Please note that the tour does not include access backstage.

The Box Office is open 9am to 9pm, 7 days a week. Tickets can be purchased in advance by telephoning 020 7838 3105, online or in person through the Box Office at Door 12. Please note that 25p per ticket is charged for all purchases made by telephone or online. The Royal Albert Hall is a large building with five floors. The tour covers moderate distances, including several staircases. Lifts are available and the tour is fully accessible to wheelchair users. If you are likely to require use of the lifts or have additional access requirements, please notify the Box Office when booking your tour.
