For the first time since London welcomed in the new Millennium, the Royal Albert Hall will open its doors for some very special end of year concerts to welcome 2014 in style. Two years after it charmed the world with its nostalgic look at the golden days of the Hollywood silent film, The Artist now comes to the Royal Albert Hall on Monday 30 and Tuesday 31 December 2013, in its live concert version, making this the perfect end of year treat.

Now London’s Royal Albert Hall will be hosting the UK premiere of director J.J Abrams predecessor, 2009’s $385million blockbuster smash Star Trek, live in concert on 29 May 2014, celebrating the extraordinary collaboration between Michael Giacchino’s score and J.J Abrams’ visionary original motion picture.

As part of the Hall’s free reflect exhibition series and for one night only, Tom Oxley will be presenting his latest exhibition on the gallery walls of the Royal Albert Hall, Face to Face: The Moving Portrait. These will be three-minute high definition video portraits, 16ft in height, projected onto the Royal Albert Hall’s gallery walls, overlooking the main auditorium, and will be the first time that an exhibition has been displayed at the Royal Albert Hall in this way.

Nordoff Robbins have today announced that the incredibly successful and internationally acclaimed band, Coldplay, are to receive the Royal Albert Hall Best British Act Award at this year’s Nordoff Robbins O2 Silver Clef Awards.
The star-studded event, in aid of music charity Nordoff Robbins, a favourite charity of the music industry, will take place on Friday 28 June 2013 at the London Hilton on Park Lane.

Booking for the BBC Proms 2013 opened at 9am this morning (Saturday 11 May) and a record of over 114,000 tickets were sold in the first 12 hours. This is a 17% increase on last year, when over 97,000 tickets were purchased during the equivalent period.
