From 4 – 15 March 2017, the Royal Albert Hall presents Love Classical – a major new 12-day festival of 21 classical music-themed events taking place across seven different spaces, from the Hall’s iconic auditorium to deep underground in our Loading Bay.

Headlining this new spring music festival are world-renowned violinist Nigel Kennedy, superstar pianist Lang Lang and one of Britain’s most beloved classical musicians, trumpet-player Alison Balsom, who will be performing on the world famous Royal Albert Hall stage.

Other stand-out events include a performance by the London Contemporary Orchestra in the venue’s underground Loading Bay, a special Yoga and Live Music session, filmmaker Christopher Nupen introducing a specially-curated selection of his unforgettable classical documentaries – including a screening of his 1969 film, The Trout – and an Elgar Room performance from musical prodigies The Kanneh-Mason Trio.

Innovations at the festival include the chance to compose a piece for one-handed pianist Nicholas McCarthy to perform at his Elgar Room show and the opportunity to pit your wits against fellow fans at the Classical Quiz on Sunday 12 March.
