Superstar guitarist Joe Bonamassa fulfilled a lifelong dream when he made his Royal Albert Hall debut.

Since he first picked up a guitar, Bonamassa had aspired to follow his heroes Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck in performing a headline show at the London venue, so when the opportunity finally arose in 2009 he put on an unforgettable show featuring a very special guest:

Eric Clapton, making another appearance at the Hall on his way to hitting the phenomenal ‘200th show’ milestone he reached in 2015, joined the New York bluesman onstage to exchange solos on classic Texan blues number Further On up the Road to a rapturous ovation from the audience.

‘The greatest honour of my life is to play this building’
Joe Bonamassa, 4 May 2009
